honestav Minneapolis Concert reviews
Somewhat disappointing
Andrew Mcmahon and the wilderness was the best show of the night, they were excellent. Panic at the Disco was good. I didn't pay attention to the first 2 bands. To me, the show I came to see, honestav, felt that they were just going through the motions and not giving much effort. They were totally jacked up "if your wondering if I want you to" and skipped a whole verse. They took many of their good songs and combined them into one stupid mix of a song and just didn't seem to give much enthusiasm to any songs. They only nailed the song "say it ain't so," but overall, I was very disappointed, especially after waiting so long to see them live. Their "light show" consisted of random videos displayed on a screen behind them (which was funny during the "thank god for girls" song), a little smoke, and some confetti streamers into the beginning of the show. The "grand finally" was a long blast of confetti cannons at the end. I know I'm old, and maybe I'm expecting too much because I grew up with the big elaborate arena shows with lots of pyrotechnics and visual stimuli. I just love that stuff, and it really makes the show more fun. Anyhow, I still love Weezer, and love will continue to but will probably debate whether to see them live if they ever come again. Maybe that contributed to a lackluster performance since it was one of their smaller venues.
